Belarusian diplomats paid tribute in Stockholm and Oslo to the fallen during the Great Patriotic War

On May 9, 2023, a solemn ceremony was held in Oslo to commemorate the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The Ambassadors of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, representatives of the Serbian Embassy, as well as compatriots living in Norway laid wreaths and flowers at the monument to Soviet soldiers and the monument to Yugoslav partisans at the Vestre Gravlund cemetery in the Norwegian capital.
The day before, at a commemorative reception hosted by the Russian Embassy in Stockholm, Ambassador Dmitry Mironchik delivered a speech about the ordeals that befell the Belarusian people during the war years and emphasised that Belarus honours the memory of the feat of the generation of victors, who saved us from genocide, and will not allow distorting the truth about the history of those tragic and heroic years.
