Trade and Economic Cooperation
Trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Sweden is mutually beneficial. In 2020 the trade turnover between Belarus and Sweden amounted to 131,2 mln US dollars. Belarusian exports amounted to 35,3 mln dollars, imports from Sweden – 95,9 mln dollars.

Potash fertilizers are traditionally the basis of the Belarusian exports to Sweden. Other important export products: fuel wood, furniture and its parts, linen fabrics, animal or vegetable fats and oils for technical or industrial use, non-alloy steel rods.
The main import positions from Sweden to Belarus: artificial and prepared waxes, forestry machinery, compression-ignition internal combustion piston engines, polymers of ethylene.
In 2020 the turnover of trade in services between Belarus and Sweden was 27,5 mln USD. Export of services from Belarus: 20,6 mln USD, import: 6,9 mln USD. The most significant positions of the Belarusian export are IT, transport and other business services.
Investment cooperation between our countries is developing positively. Swedish direct investments in the economy of Belarus in 2020 amounted to 17,8 mln USD. The Swedish companies are actively investing their revenue in the development of their business in Belarus.
As of January 2020, there were 24 companies in Belarus with the participation of Swedish investors, including 10 joint ventures and 14 with 100% Swedish capital.
