Belarus President sends National Day greetings to the King of Norway

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent greetings to King Harald V of Norway and the Norwegian people as the country cerebrates the national holiday — Constitution Day.

The Head of State noted that Norway is the largest trade and economic partner of Belarus in the region of Northern Europe. “It is encouraging to see that the achieved high level of bilateral trade has stood the test of the pandemic. Minsk is interested in continuing a pragmatic dialogue with Oslo based on the principles of mutual respect. We look forward to maintaining constructive cooperation in various fields and working together in international fora,” the message reads.

The Belarusian leader expressed confidence that Norway will worthily fulfill the honorary and responsible duties of a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Harald V sound health and new accomplishments, as well as peace and harmony to the people of Norway.
