More than 30 foreign companies from Norway, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, China and other countries participated in this unique event: for the first time a world famous company invites investors to Belarus, offering them guaranteed sales of products in 423 stores around the world. The IKEA Purchasing and Logistics Days offers a number of opportunities for Belarus to cooperate with potential investors, including the sphere of woodworking.

In his speech Ambassador Dmitry Mironchik welcomed the active work of IKEA with Belarusian companies on placing orders. He emphasized that the modernization of the Belarusian wood processing enterprises allows to produce high-quality and competitive products. Ambassador noted the improvement of the investment climate in Belarus. An important factor for the successful work of foreign investors in Belarus is also the high qualification of the Belarusian labour force. Readiness of international financial institutions, including the EBRD, to provide credit support to IKEA suppliers in Belarus creates the most favorable conditions for new production projects in our country.
