Exebition on the occasion of Cosmonautics Day

On April 10, 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Kingdom of Sweden, together with colleagues from Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Cuba and Uzbekistan, held a solemn event in honor of Cosmonautics Day on the basis of the Russian diplomatic mission. 

Within the framework of the event, a photo exhibition and a demonstration of documentaries dedicated to space exploration and the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight were organized. The Belarusian part was represented by a photo exhibition and a video chronicle about the first space flight of cosmonaut of the Republic of Belarus M.Vasilevskaya (the flight took place on March 23, 2024 as part of the crew of the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft).

In his opening remarks, Charge d'affaires of Belarus V. Mikhailau highlighted the many years of experience and achievements of the Republic of Belarus in space exploration, the significant contribution of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus to the development of space science, and the successes of Belarusian-Russian cooperation in this field.

The event aroused sincere interest among the guests and many positive responses.
