Ambassador Dmitry Mironchik took part in a webinar A Call for a Global Civilization Initiative28.06.2023
On 28 June, Ambassador Dmitry Mironchik took part in a webinar “A Call for a Global Civilization Initiative”, organised by The Belt and Road Institute in Sweden.
The event was dedicated to the Global Civilisation Initiative (GCI) introduced by Chinese President Xi Jinping in March 2023. Among other participants in the webinar were representatives of the expert community from Denmark, China, India, Norway and Russia.
In his report, the Ambassador noted the consonance between the ideas of the Chinese leader and the approaches promoted by the Belarusian side on international platforms. Thus, last autumn Belarus proposed to the United Nations to develop a Charter for the World's Diversity in the 21st Century, whereby all member states in a concerted manner would be able to set out some key principles for governing international life.
Answering the questions of the panellists, the Ambassador touched upon the work of the Great Stone Industrial Park and the impact of the regional situation on the transit potential of Belarus. Dmitry Mironchik noted the responsible approach of the Belarusian side to the execution of the railroad transportation between China and Europe, which remains in demand by both Chinese and European businesses.
