Condolences to the people of Norway over passing of King Harald V

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed condolences to the people of Norway on behalf of the Belarusian people and on his own behalf over the death of King Harald V.

The Belarusian President noted that the long-standing work of Harald V contributed to the continuity of state and cultural traditions of the country, as well as to the strengthening of its international prestige.

“The establishment of diplomatic relations between sovereign Belarus and Norway also took place during the reign of His Majesty, which firmly inscribed his name in the chronicle of our bilateral interaction,” Aleksandr Lukashenko pointed out.

In this sorrowful time the Belarusian President conveyed words of support to all Norwegian people: “I am confident that the cherished memory of His Majesty Harald V will forever remain in the history of Norway.”
